FOCUS GROUP is experienced in conducting qualitative and quantitative research to support the design of risk and strategic communication plans and materials including understanding risk perception; characterizing target group attributes; mental models research and message testing. Our research is directed to provide clients with information that enables more informed decision-making. As our name indicates, we focus on the conduct of targeted research linking theory with practical experience. Researching stakeholders’ awareness, perceptions, concerns and information needs provides the basis for solid strategic communication plans and community outreach programs. We use an array of proven quantitative and qualitative research techniques such as telephone, direct mail or Web-based surveys, focus groups and one-on-one interviews. Our targeted research enables the development of outreach activities and strategic materials that provide the needed information and responds to stakeholders concerns. Our research also looks at the selection of the most appropriate channels of communication.
